• Prince William and Kate Middleton's new mansion is causing drama with neighbors, and they've been accused of abusing their power.
  • The Waleses just moved into Forest Lodge, a $5.5 Million home in Windsor.
  • Neighbors have been relocated, told not to walk in the area, threatened with criminal trespassing, and had their local Christmas Tree Farm impacted.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have been accused of abusing their power when it comes to the increasingly dramatic situation at Forest Lodge—aka their new mansion in Windsor.

The royal couple have angered neighbors by creating a no-go zone around their property, threatening to arrest trespassers, and ruining the vibes at a local Christmas Tree farm by making everyone drive an entire mile out of their way.

Anti-monarchy campaigner Graham Smith tells Newsweek that "The Christmas trees issue might seem silly, but the point is this is all public property and William should not have been able to close those roads and close access to that land. It's not his to do what he wants with. He's also forced two people, two families to move out of their homes. They were relocated to other places on the park but this is just another example of William just basically sticking two fingers up to local people and then just grabbing land that isn't his just so that he can move from one house to another. So it's just an abuse of power and privilege for me."

Note: This is a reference to reports in the Daily Mail that two families were asked to "vacate their properties" ahead of William and Kate's move: Per a source, "They were told to move out. I guess they were given somewhere else, but they were told they had to move. They were not expecting it. Those houses are very close to the lodge, so they're not going to want any Tom, Dick or Harry living in those houses if there are going to be royals there."
